It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hello there lovely people!
As I write this it is the final day of November- blimey that went quick!- which means that from tomorrow it is OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS!!! Not that it has stopped me from listening to Christmas music, eating too much than should be allowed by law or using the excuse 'f@*k it, it's Christmas' repeatedly for literally everything...
There's just something so magical about walking around in the cold all wrapped up in scarves and jumpers, sipping hot chocolate and looking at the vast array of Christmas lights that seem to be everywhere. Also people generally seem to be happier around Christmas, if sometimes a little stressed if they've left their present buying until the very last possible minute.
As a proud December baby I can confidently say that it is one of the best months of the year. There is truly something for everyone no matter what religion you are, even if all you are doing is stopping to appreciate the pretty lights around the local town centre. At the end of the month we all get an opportunity to start a fresh, with a completely new year and yes we all make stupidly unattainable resolutions which we quite obviously have no intention of sticking to but hey that's all part of the true life experience.
December is a time of relaxation (for most!) before we have to do the whole life shebang all over again. It's just nice to get an opportunity to spend quality time with family and be together whilst everyone eats their own body-weight in food haha.

However it is important to note that December is not as cheery for everyone and the novelties of some turn out to be living nightmares for others. We must also spare a thought for those who are less fortunate than ourselves, such as the homeless who are forced to live out harsh British winters on the streets away from family and friends and people who care about them.
So if you take anything from this post, let it be this... I am not asking that you give up all of your home comforts to donate to homeless shelters, just remember that a simple act of kindness from you can really brighten up a person's day. You have no idea what the people around you go through internally on a daily basis- not everyone is a happy-go-lucky ray of sunshine- and by doing something as simple as smiling at someone in the street or holding the door open for someone can provide them with something positive to think about as they go around their day.
Ahhh now my words of wisdom have been passed from my brain to yours (how weird is it that this blog is basically my inner thoughts speaking to your inner thoughts?!) I am gonna go to bed and hopefully I will speak to you very soon.
Keep warm beautiful people! Thanks so much for reading and I wish you all the best possible December- make the most of it as it will be gone before you know it!
