Pumpkin Spice and All Things Nice

Ahhh, It's the best time of year. Autumn is truly part of the silver lining of life.
Crunchy leaves in all shades of orange, red, yellow and brown littering the pavement- the hilarity of watching gardeners desperately trying to sweep them up or blow them away, though they will inevitably return to rest outside the house once again.
Halloween will always have a special place in my heart. There is something magical about being able to dress us as something scary (SFX makeup forever!) and go around and get free sweets from strangers- which sounds quite creepy now that I think about it. Halloween parties can also be quite fun although for some reason I find that I am always the one most committed to dressing up?
I am not one for a horror movie though. The scariest I will ever go is Hocus Pocus and even then I have to grit my teeth through the moments where they are singing the song to get the children to come to them (chills just writing that).
Another movie fave is Nightmare Before Christmas, though I'm not honestly sure if it is classed as Halloween or Xmas? Either way Jack Skellington is a true legend- black and white? that guy's fashion is timeless.
PUMPKINS! That is all. That is the paragraph.
On a related note I love going into supermarkets and looking at their little tiny pumpkins because oh god they are just so damn CUTE!

The Halloween section in shops always excite me but somehow it always leaves me wanting more. (Although I love them to bits) There are only so many glittery pumpkins I can look at before I'm gagging for a change- confetti skulls? blue slime pumpkins? a Frankenstein themed Frankfurter? GIVE ME MORE!
I will also say that although the legendary Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks is good, it is absolutely chock-a-block packed with sugar so I rarely go and get one- not to mention it is also PRICEYYYY. I've also heard that Americans have all sorts of Pumpkin Spice flavoured items, how peculiar?
I also find it quite the adventure to come up with good costume ideas year after year and pull them off on a small budget but hey, that's all part of the fun.

For now I will just have to celebrate with my little 3 year old bat hanging ornament (debatably my best Poundland purchase to date) and a GIANT TUB of trick or treat candy... it could be worse haha.
Have a good Halloween bubbas
